Kristian Šustar

Kristian Šustar is a Chief Executive Officer and Board Member with more than 25 years of leadership experience in hospitality, tourism, and hotel real estate, specialising in transformation, development, and long-term value creation.
Throughout his career, he has led complex hotel companies and portfolios through intensive investment cycles, restructuring processes, and strategic repositioning, frequently holding parallel executive and board-level roles. His background combines hands-on operational leadership with asset-driven development and governance responsibilities.
Kristian has served as CEO, Chief Development Officer, and Member of Management Boards in leading hospitality companies, with direct responsibility for P&L, corporate governance, development strategy, franchise negotiations with international hotel brands, and large-scale capital investment and exit processes.
His experience includes CEO roles at Jadran Hoteli Rijeka, Dubrovnik Riviera Hotels, and Maistra d.d. (Adris Group), as well as Board Member roles at Uniline Travel Company, HUP-Zagreb, a flagship hotel asset company in Zagreb and ALH.
In parallel, he has held supervisory board positions in national tourism institutions and private companies and remains actively engaged in academic teaching. Kristian has worked with international investors, operators, and development partners across multiple projects.
