Nikša Markovac

Managing Director, Head of the International Commercial Real Estate Department, Erste Group Bank

Nikša Markovac is Head of the International Commercial Real Estate Department at Erste Group Bank in Vienna, where he oversees client acquisition and relationship management for real estate financing across 13 countries in Central and Eastern Europe. He also serves as Managing Director of Erste Group Immorent, the Group’s real estate leasing arm, operating in both Vienna and Zagreb.

Nikša has more than 15 years of experience in banking, real estate, and hospitality, and his professional background includes senior roles in finance, sales, strategic development, workout and restructuring, and project management. Throughout his career, he has held several leadership positions within Erste Group and UniCredit Group, and one of his most notable achievements was the management and successful restructuring and sale of Dubrovnik Sun Gardens – Radisson Blu Resort & Spa. He has managed complex real estate portfolios, large workout platforms, and multidisciplinary teams across all jurisdictions in which Erste Group operates. Nikša holds a master’s degree in Corporate Finance and Auditing from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and Michigan State University.
