Irhad Meheljić

Member of the Management Board, Grawe Nekretnine

I was born on March 10, 1965. I am married and a father of two children. I graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering with a higher education degree. After completing my studies, I have been living and working in my field in Austria and Germany, and since 1995, I have been working at the insurance company Grawe Hrvatska d.d. in leading positions and as a member of the Management Board at the company Grawe Nekretnine, where my professional activities are closely related to the development and management of construction projects.

Grawe Nekretnine has a primary mission – the development of construction projects in the domain of office buildings exclusively intended for leasing. We manage a real estate portfolio valued at approximately 60 million euros, primarily in the domain of office spaces but also including rental apartments.
My main work focus is directed toward the following areas:

• Identifying attractive construction plots for project development
• Conducting project feasibility analyses, taking into account all parameters for the given location
• Negotiating with landowners and executing purchase agreements
• Defining project requirements and collaborating with architects
• Selecting construction companies, defining construction contracts, building standards, dynamic and financial plans
• Coordinating all participants in the construction process during the building phase
• Coordinating and collaborating with real estate agencies regarding space leasing
• Managing properties after occupancy and taking care of tenants

I also pursue professional development privately, as I have been appointed a permanent court expert for construction and real estate valuation by the County Court in Zagreb since May 12, 2003, and I have been continuously conducting property valuations to this day.

I also participate in the work of various professional committees (Croatian Chamber of Commerce – Real Estate Business Association, Croatian Association of Court Experts, etc.) and am the author of numerous articles on real estate.
