Retail Director – Adriatic Region, Hilding Anders

From the very beginning of my career, for more than 20 years now, retail has been an integral part of my everyday life. I spent the first 13 years working at the large trading company Tekstilpromet d.d./Lantea Grupa d.d., which at the time had a portfolio of over 300 stores across Croatia. In 2005, I became Retail Director, leading more than 50 stores and managing a team of over 200 people. I would particularly like to highlight the period from 2006 to 2008 when I worked with an excellent team on a project to bring high-fashion brands to Zagreb, aiming to position the capital as a fashion destination. As part of this initiative, in 2007, we opened the monobrand store “Emporio Armani,” followed by “Dolce&Gabbana” a year later in the heart of Zagreb.For the past 12 years, I have been working as the Retail Director for the Adriatic region for the brands Hespo and Perfectadreams within the Swedish company Hilding Anders. I am extremely proud that, over the past six years, I have successfully placed the Hespo brand on the retail map of Croatia and the region, with 20 showrooms now in operation. Alongside the successful mainstream Hespo brand, there is also Perfectadreams, a premium brand specializing in beds and mattresses. Retail, which I consider the most beautiful profession in the world, and the importance of location in my line of work, are reflected in the project I am currently working on. Very soon, I will be opening a flagship store for each brand in the very center of Zagreb.
