With over 20 years of experience in the hotel and resort industry, including leadership roles within renowned international and regional groups in Southeast Europe such as Valamar Hotels & Resorts, Vienna International, Adriatic Luxury Hotels, and MK Group Hospitality, Nikola Avram has contributed his expertise across all phases of hotel property management—from concept and development to operational execution and long-term planning.
In 2019, he founded Alpha Hotel Management, where he currently serves as CEO. He is responsible for shaping the company’s vision, driving business development, and overseeing operational execution. His deep understanding of the local market, combined with a Marriott International certification, ensures that both property owners and international partners receive the highest value from every project—from the conceptual phase to hotel operations—while delivering exceptional guest experiences aligned with the standards and expectations of global hospitality brands.
Nikola Avram joined MK Group in 2010 as CEO of MK Mountain Resort, where he played a key role in designing and implementing strategic initiatives to strengthen the company’s brand positioning. He led the company’s commercial transformation, aligning it with digitalization trends and innovations in hotel products and services. Additionally, he managed multiple hotel acquisitions, positioning MK Hospitality Division as the leading regional hotel group in the Western Balkans.
In 2021, Nikola took over his family-owned company, Valdarke Ltd., which has been actively investing in real estate for over 20 years. That same year, all the necessary conditions were met to begin construction on a new 5* boutique hotel along the Lungo Mare promenade in Cres, the town where he was born and raised. Valdarke is dedicated to investing in small luxury boutique hotels with 40 to 90 rooms, distinguished by their authentic design, exceptional service, and unique guest experiences.
In September 2024, Nikola Avram opened his 5* boutique hotel, The Isolano, in his hometown of Cres, under the prestigious Autograph Collection brand from the Marriott Group. The hotel is adults-friendly (12+) and features 49 luxurious rooms, offering a refined, intimate, and relaxing experience for guests seeking top-tier hospitality in a boutique luxury setting.
