He works occasionally as a short-term advisor to international institutions, including the World Bank. Mr. \u0160onje started his career at the Institute of Economics, Zagreb, in 1990. He served as advisor to the Croatian Government during the anti-inflationary programme in 1993\/94. In 1995, he became Director of Research of the Croatian National Bank, and in 1996, he took over the position of Executive Director for Research and Statistics. In 2000, he became a Board Member of Raiffeisenbank Austria d.d. Zagreb, where he also served as head of the supervisory board of the asset management branch until the foundation of Arhivanalitika in 2003. Mr \u0160onje lectured on Financial Institutions and Markets at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management and authored 40 scientific papers, 20 books, and chapters in books published in Croatia and internationally.
