Sunčana Rapaić

Director Croatia, de Architekten Cie

Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb, Master of Excellence in Architecture at the postgraduate laboratory of architecture at the Berlage Institute Rotterdam, further education at the IEDC Bled School of Management and the DGNB Academy.

After finishing her master’s degree, she worked in de Architekten Cie in Amsterdam, and in 2005 she became the director Cie. Croatia and the chief architect in de Architekten Cie office in Zagreb.

She is a member of the Croatian Chamber of Architects (HKA), the Association of Croatian Architects (UHA) and the Zagreb Society of Architects (DAZ), in which she was active as a member of the Executive Board, the Control Board, and is one of the founders of the ARTUR – Architecture and Tourism program.

She participated as a guest critique at TU München, exhibited at Youth Salon Zagreb, la Bienale di Venezia, the International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam, the Annual realizations exhibition of Croatian architects, etc. Through professional activity, she gains experience and participates in numerous local and international competitions, workshops, seminars, conferences, research projects and realizations. She is an authorized architect and International DGNB Consultant, and uses Building Information Modeling (BIM) and circular economy models in her work.

Selected projects and realizations are Hotel Sungarden Dubrovnik in Orašac, Mixed use building Centar Bundek in Zagreb, Headquarter building Valamar Riviera in Poreč and Maritime Passenger Terminal in Šibenik.
